From November 5th to 7th, our school, in collaboration with the Hainan FTP Legal Research Institute of CUPL / Hainan International School of CUPL, organized a delegation to conduct lectures and practical research activities on Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law. The delegation visited locations including the Hainan Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, Hainan International Arbitration Court, King & Wood Mallesons (Haikou) Law Firm, and the Law School of Hainan University. The delegation was composed of Xu Xizheng, Executive Dean of the Hainan FTP Legal Research Institute / Hainan International School; Li Jiankun, Master's Supervisor at the Institute of Private International Law of the International Law School / School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law CUPL, and part-time Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee; along with students from the Foreign-Related Rule of Law Experimental Program and the International Organizations Talent Base Program.
On the morning of November 6th, the delegation conducted lectures on Foreign-Related Rule of Law, covering topics such as Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, national security, cybersecurity, and personal safety. Over a hundred Chinese and international students from the Pilot Zone participated in the event.

On the afternoon of November 6th, the delegation visited the Hainan International Arbitration Court to participate in a practical training session featuring a simulated international arbitration hearing. Our students conducted a mock international commercial arbitration based on the case "Dongbo Sensor Co., Ltd. vs. Wesco Company" within the actual premises of the Hainan International Arbitration Court.


On the morning of November 7th, the delegation conducted research on Foreign-Related Rule of Law practices in Hainan during a visit to King & Wood Mallesons (Haikou) Law Firm.

On the afternoon of November 7th, the delegation visited the Law School of Hainan University to hold an exchange symposium on talent cultivation in the field of Foreign-Related Rule of Law.

Through these activities, the faculty and student delegation gained a profound understanding of the significant historical importance of the Hainan Free Trade Port's upcoming island-wide independent customs operation scheduled for December 18th this year. They also developed a clear recognition of the urgent needs regarding Hainan's legal system construction and the demand for talents specializing in international rule of law, both preceding and following the customs operation.
