On September 19, 2025, the opening ceremony of the series of public courses “International Arbitration Public Course” jointly organized by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) was successfully held at the Haidian Campus of CUPL. Attendees included the Co-Chair, Secretary-General, and the members of the Council of the HKIAC, along with partners from Jingtian & Gongcheng, senior counsel from Zhong Lun Law Firm, and the Chief Representative of HKIAC’s Beijing office. Representatives from CUPL’s leadership and faculty were also in attendance, among others.

During the opening ceremony, Professor Lu Chunlong, Vice President of the CUPL, Professor Li Juqian, Dean of the School of International Law (CUPL) / School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law (CUPL), and Mr. Rimsky Yuen, Co-chair of HKIAC, delivered addresses. Following the ceremony, Chairman Rimsky Yuen conducted an engaging lecture on the topic of “How to Initiate an International Arbitration”. This public lecture served as a significant manifestation of the deepened collaboration between our university and HKIAC, contributing to the advancement of talent cultivation in foreign-related legal affairs and disciplinary development. The event attracted enthusiastic participation, with active engagement from both on-site and online audiences.

Before the opening ceremony, Jiang Zeting, Chair of the CUPL Council, met with Mr. Rimsky Yuen and the delegation.
