On the evening of May 20th, 2025, the 134th lecture of the "International Law Lecture Hall" Chinese series, titled "Issues Related to the Revision of the Arbitration Law," was successfully held in Room 0111 of the Comprehensive Building on the Haidian Campus. The lecture was organized by the Institute of Private International Law under the School of International Law CUPL / School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law CUPL.

Dr. Li Hu, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, was invited as the keynote speaker. Dr. Li began with the background and objectives of the revision of the Arbitration Law and delved into six core issues. The revision aims to enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese arbitration through institutional openness, requiring not only the optimization of rules based on domestic practices but also proactive alignment with international high-standard economic and trade systems.





During the Q&A session, Dr. Li provided in-depth and detailed responses to students' questions, incorporating case studies and domestic as well as international academic perspectives. The lecture lasted nearly two hours, with a full house and an enthusiastically interactive atmosphere, helping students to gain a deeper understanding of the issues related to the revision of the Arbitration Law.
