On the morning of May 23rd, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the 51st session of the "International Law Lecture Hall," hosted by the School of International Law CUPL / School of Foreign-Related Rule of Law CUPL, was successfully held in Classroom 0211 of the Comprehensive Building on the Haidian Campus. Titled "Artificial Intelligence and Global Governance," the lecture invited Professor Fabrizio Hochschild Drummond, the former Secretary General of the United Nations, as the keynote speaker.

Professor Fabrizio began with the importance and necessity of AI governance, systematically outlining the profound impact of artificial intelligence technology on global society. He interpreted the United Nations' multidimensional governance system and elaborated on the core principles of AI governance currently taking shape.




During the two-hour lecture, faculty and students engaged in lively discussions with Professor Fabrizio on topics such as the ethical review mechanisms for AI technology and the protection of technological sovereignty for developing countries. This session provided multidimensional perspectives for understanding the complex landscape of AI global governance, with the hope that continuous academic dialogues will further advance researches in AI governance.
